BODYSONG. OPENING FLAGSHIP STORE “NEW POLICY”

この度、BODYSONG. は12月21日（日）にブランド初となるフラッグシップストア“NEW POLICY”を練馬区/江古田にオープン致します。

BODYSONG. will open its first flagship store, “NEW POLICY,” in Ekoda, Nerima Ward, on Sunday, December 21.

NEW POLICYは、ブランドの在り方そのままに、多様な要素を内包する“ジャンルレスな空間”として運営。

NEW POLICY will operate as a “genreless space” that reflects the very essence of the brand, embracing a wide range of influences and expressions.

BODYSONG.のフラッグシップショップであることにとどまらず、コンセプトショップ、ギャラリー、古着屋、リサイクルショップとしての側面を持ち、さらにはガジェット・家具なども展開予定です。

スタッフが「ユーモア」や「ウィット」な雰囲気を感じる、好奇心を刺激するアイテムをセレクトし、既存のショップ像にとらわれない姿勢を体現していきます。

Not only will it function as BODYSONG.’s flagship shop, but it will also serve as a concept store, gallery, vintage clothing shop, and recycle shop (without purchasing services). In addition, gadgets, furniture, and other selected items are scheduled to be introduced.

Curated by staff with an eye for humor, wit, and a spirit of curiosity, the selection embodies an approach unconstrained by conventional retail formats.

内装はヴィンテージ・インテリアショップ「YOU ARE WELCOME」を営む矢口周太郎氏が担当。無機質な要素をベースにしながら、照明・インテリア・質感のバランスでエッジを効かせた空間へと仕上げました。
なかでも店内中央に配されたシンボリックな照明/棚は、NEW POLICYの象徴となる存在。ブランドの解釈とインテリアデザインが融合した、新しい価値観を刺激する空間が完成しています。

The interior design is overseen by Shutaro Yaguchi, owner of the vintage interior shop “YOU ARE WELCOME.”
Grounded in a minimalist aesthetic, the space is elevated through a carefully considered balance of lighting, interior elements, and textures, resulting in an atmosphere with a refined edge.
At the center of the store stands a symbolic lighting-shelf installation, which will become the iconic feature of NEW POLICY.
It is a space where the brand’s sensibilities and interior design merge, offering an experience that inspires and introduces new perspectives.

■ ショップ名「NEW POLICY」について
直訳すると「新政策」「新しい方針」。
この場所から生まれるモノやヒトとの出会いを通して、それぞれのお客様が“新しい価値観”を見つけられる場所にしたい
──
そんな願いを込めて名付けました。

■ “江古田”という街を選んだ理由
BODYSONG.はブランド設立当初から、デザイナーの地元である“練馬区”を拠点としており、ファッション業界的にはなかなか訪れる機会が少ない練馬区という地域の活性化の想いも込め、同区での出店を計画していました。
今回オープンする江古田は、日本大学芸術学部・武蔵大学・武蔵野音楽大学などが集まる「学生の街」。
駅周辺にはカフェや多くの飲食店、ライブハウス、昔ながらの商店街が混在し、芸術・文化が息づく活気ある街並みが魅力です。
地域の人々が温かく、コミュニケーションが自然と生まれる点にも強く惹かれました。
NEW POLICYは、“自由を肯定する場所”として、そして、訪れる人それぞれの「新しい価値観」を広げる起点として、ここ江古田からスタートします。

■ About the Shop Name “NEW POLICY”
Literally translated, the name means “new policy” or “new direction.”
It reflects our wish to create a place where each visitor can discover new values through the encounters, experiences, and inspirations that emerge from this space.
This idea is at the heart of the name.

■ Why We Chose the Neighborhood of Ekoda
Since its founding, BODYSONG. has been based in Nerima — the designer’s hometown. With a desire to contribute to the revitalization of this area, which is not typically a frequent destination within the fashion industry, we had long considered opening a store within the same ward.

Ekoda, where NEW POLICY will open, is known as a “student town,” home to Nihon University College of Art, Musashi University, and Musashino Academia Musicae.
The area surrounding the station features a diverse mix of cafés, eateries, live music venues, and long-standing shopping streets, forming a vibrant community where art and culture thrive.

We were also deeply drawn to the warmth of the local community and the natural, easy communication that takes place here.
NEW POLICY begins its journey in Ekoda as a place that embraces freedom of expression — a starting point from which each visitor can expand their own sense of new possibilities and values.

営業形態は、“不定期営業”。
営業日・イベント・取り扱いアイテムについてはSNSで随時告知し、ゲリラ的な運営を予定しています。
日によって表情が変わる“ライブ感のあるショップ”として、訪れるたびに新しい体験を提供します。

オープン時には、NEW POLICY限定で展開されるスペシャルアイテムや、B品などの通常通り売ることが出来なかったアイテムをカスタマイズしたアップサイクル商品も登場予定。
「コンテンポラリー」という言葉だけでは語り尽くせない、どこかユーモアを感じていただける仕掛けをご用意してお待ちしております。

The store will operate on an irregular schedule.
Information on opening days, events, and available items will be announced through our social media channels, reflecting a deliberately spontaneous, pop-up-like approach.
As a “live” and ever-evolving retail space, NEW POLICY will offer a fresh experience with every visit.

At opening, we will introduce special items available exclusively at NEW POLICY, along with a selection of upcycled pieces created by customizing B-grade or otherwise unsellable items.
More than simply “contemporary,” the store will present playful and unexpected elements that embody the brand’s sense of humor and creativity.
